The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, verifying, storing and issuing materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper storage, traceability and safety within the stores area.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify and document incoming raw materials, components and finished goods. 
• Check quantities, condition, identification and documents against POs, challans and invoices. 
• Coordinate with QC for inspection and approval before GRN preparation. 
• Properly label, store and segregate accepted, rejected and under-inspection materials. 
• Maintain accurate records of inward, outward, issues, returns and stock transfers. 
• Issue materials to departments against authorised requisitions and follow FIFO where applicable. 
• Maintain material traceability, stock levels and inventory records. 
• Conduct stock verification and resolve discrepancies. 
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, cleanliness and safety of the stores area. 
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QC and Accounts on material-related matters.

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ experience as a Storekeeper/Stores Assistant, preferably in engineering/manufacturing. 
• Knowledge of GRN, material requisitions, stock registers and inventory procedures. 
• Basic understanding of engineering materials/components. 
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/inventory software. 
• Ability to read POs, delivery challans and basic material specifications. 
• Organised, accurate and detail-oriented. 
• Candidates from Ambernath and nearby areas preferred.
